Fostering Local Talent
Our bursary is named after the late Bill Breuer, a member of the board, for the St. Croix Theatre Company and playwright in residence. When the bursary was designed, it was about celebrating the extra-curricular achievements of youth in the community. particularly through theatre and stage performance. That spirit, we believe, is what Bill embodied as well- a love for acting, a passion for creating and a celebration of performance.
So, we renamed the bursary to the SCTC Bill Breuer Bursary. A small gesture that commemorates and celebrates a man who dedicated his life to the craft, and left it all on stage.
Documenting Our History
At St. Croix Theatre Company, we believe that the story of theater in St. Stephen, NB, deserves to be told and celebrated. Our mission is to provide access to years of rich history through archival interviews and performance footage, all available digitally and completely free of charge.
